Its classic Geisha profile features the lively fresh fruit flavors of citrus and stone fruit, including refreshing notes of fresh orange and apricots. Throughout the cup, a pleasing, lingering sweetness can be detected, reminding us of the smooth texture of toffee.
Hacienda Santa Gertrudis has been part of the Eguiguren family n the Ecuadorian Andes for over 100 years. The first coffee plants were planted by Luis Emilio Eguiguren in 1954, and today, Jose Luis Eguiguren, the third-generation coffee producer, focuses solely on producing specialty coffee. His efforts earned the hacienda 14th place in the 2022 Cup of Excellence auction, showcasing their dedication and the growing popularity of specialty coffee.
