Finca Nuguo, owned and operated by José """"Pocho"""" Gallardo, is a distinguished coffee farm located in the Jurutungo area of Renacimiento, Chiriquí, Panama. Established by the Gallardo family in the 1960s, the farm has evolved over the years, with Pocho introducing the cultivation of the Geisha varietal approximately sixteen years ago.
Situated at elevations ranging from 1,750 to 1,950 meters above sea level, Finca Nuguo benefits from its proximity to La Amistad International Park, the largest natural rainforest reserve in Central America. This unique microclimate, characterized by cool temperatures and rich biodiversity, contributes to the exceptional quality of the coffee produced.

Pocho's dedication to meticulous cultivation and innovative processing methods has garnered Finca Nuguo significant recognition, including top positions in the Best of Panama competitions across various categories. Notably, in 2021, the farm secured both 1st and 2nd places for its Geisha Natural and Washed coffees, respectively.

Nuguo Geisha Natural Lot 583 N-NS presents a vibrant cup profile with prominent rose aromatics, complemented by lychee and lemon notes, culminating in a fruit punch finish. The natural fermentation process enhances its fruity complexity and clean finish.
The natural fermentation process involves fermenting the harvested cherries at 32°C for approximately 3.5 to 4 days, followed by drying in a temperature-controlled environment at 24°C with 60% humidity. Once the beans reach 14% humidity, they undergo further drying at 28°C until achieving 11% humidity, ensuring optimal flavour development and stability.
