Delicate and enchanting, this Geisha blooms with notes of creamy vanilla and sweet apricot, balanced by the gentle crispness of pear. Hints of honeysuckle bring a floral elegance, creating a cup that’s both light and indulgent—a beautiful experience with every sip.

The farm name "Mil Cumbres," meaning "a thousand hills," reflects its unique terrain. Once an old cattle pasture, it was transformed into a specialty coffee farm with access created from an old timber trail previously used for transporting wood out of the forest. Owned by Mario Fonseca and Arturo Klein, and managed by Ratibor Hartmann, the first coffee from Mil Cumbres debuted in 2019.

*Please note that Gold Series coffees are excluded from regular discounts & promotions.

About the Farm

  • Located in Cordillera, near Volcan in Chiriqui Province, the farm rests on the slopes of the Baru volcano between 1,600 and 2,000 meters, offering clear views that can reach all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Covering 60 hectares, Mil Cumbres dedicates 25 hectares to coffee production, with the remaining land preserved as native jungle, part of the Baru Volcano National Park. Varieties grown include Geisha, Pacamara, Mocca, Bourbon, and new ones on the horizon.
  • With volcanic soil and an annual rainfall of 3,000-6,000 mm, the farm follows biological practices, limiting chemical use to selective herbicides. Instead, manual labor, organic fertilizers, and biological disease controls support coffee production, even though the farm is not certified organic.
